Stratford, thanks to visionaries like Tom Patterson, has become world famous as the home of the Stratford Shakespearean Festival.

What a change, going from being the hub of the Canadian Railway industry, to a cultural centre in a few short years. But we like to think we did it with grace and style, and have arrived at this point in time with one of the nicest cities in North America to choose to live.

According to Canadian Business Magazine July 2006 edition, Stratford was ranked 15th overall in North America as one of the best places to retire and best place for "Culture Vultures".

Here are a few more great reasons to make Stratford your home.
